@JoshRoss: the problem is that most websites are based on the pull model, instead of push. RSS brings some push, but its to much of a hassle.
Websites should support push natively, it's present in wp7 via tile notifications, but i want to take IT further. Just need to find the time,...
I want to push it to android and iPhone as well, but I lack an mac and I don't have java skills. And it would become a fulltime job, instead of a fun project.
