Defrag: Cloning to SSD, Extracting Wifi PW, UAC Triggers
2 days ago@Usman: Thanks for that update! That what I was looking for on the show.
@Eduardo Quintana: Looks like it was just for the movie launch last week. Sorry.
Windows 8 Tip 3: Using Windows File Explorer
May 17, 2013 at 10:50 AM@JuanVan: I'm still getting used to that myself. It used to be Control+N but now it's Control+Shift+N.
When you hit F2 to rename something and you don't want the name to be selected, just hit one of the arrow keys, or home/end.

Defrag: Portable Office, Driver Bugchecks, C9 Win8 App
Apr 05, 2013 at 9:24 AM@JockStrap: It depends on the show, whenever possible we try to just do shows using our Tricaster. There are some times when we use different components from the CS6 Suite.

Apr 04, 2013 at 11:58 AM@JockStrap: This show was shot while Golnaz was on vacation so it was rendered by an external editor not using our Adobe Premiere present. We typically try to stay around 1GB/hr on our highest setting, this is obviously a good measure higher than that. Thanks
Defrag: VS Compile prob, Moving AppData, Versioning AX
Mar 28, 2013 at 10:35 AM@Ken: I tend to let it run while I'm doing something else, and fair enough I do have multiple machines. It's not that bad though and if you're on Windows 8 you can use the cloud for your settings to save you those steps as well as use the Windows Store to have it reinstall all your modern apps again. Just go to My Apps in the Windows store. You could also boot off a VHD, which, after setting up, is probably the fastest easiest way to blow away a machine and start new.

Mar 28, 2013 at 10:30 AM@siodmy: WinRar is a paid product but it's nagware in that you can just click a dialog every time you use it.

Mar 28, 2013 at 10:29 AM@siodmy: You don't have to print a C9 guy, you can just send me your address and I'll send you one.
But I'll find out about getting the model up somewhere. Thanks
Defrag: Disabling Hibernation, Superfetch, onboard VGA
Mar 27, 2013 at 12:28 PM@jgnetworksecurity: We talk about it on the Defrag show I'm posting today. Gov has gotten in touch with folks at Office and it is on their radar.
Defrag: Task Bar, Pop ups and UNC Behavior
Feb 06, 2013 at 2:02 PM@gt65345: They're prescription glasses. We talked about it on a recent show. And he's cool, so there's that.
