TWC9: Microsoft Surface, Windows Phone 8, Azure, Imagine Cup and Pi!
Jun 26, 2012 at 12:24 PMInteresting... what is your source regarding the custom shaders?
And yes, 7.8 so far is insultingly thin in features. Smoked by Windows Phone, indeed

Defrag 004 - Battery Life, Slow Wake, Library Problems
Apr 20, 2011 at 10:45 AM@Carolynn:Adobe Acrobat uses the GPU for hardware acceleration. Since it is the NVIDIA driver that craches I can assume that the GPGPU implementation in Acrobat doesn't play nice with the latest driver. However I expect the problem to go away if you manually turn off the acceleration in Acrobat [EDIT->Preferances->Page Display->Use 2D Graphics Acceleration.
I hope this helps.

Sep 15, 2010 at 3:24 AMWe will be releasing really soon an Augmented Reality Accelerator Kit for WP7 developers! You will be able to hold a cutout of a device in front of your webcam and feed accelerometer data to the WP7 emulator! Credits go to Nikos Kastellanos

Apr 12, 2010 at 4:19 PMHey guys, wouldn't it be good for WP7 buyers AND developers if there was a 20$ to 50$ worth of free Apps from the marketplace? It would give good reason for people to pick-up stuff from the marketplace from day one and developers a chance to sell their wares to people with "virtual money" burning their pockets!
Defrag: Windows 7 Multitouch
Aug 16, 2009 at 11:57 PMGood job. That was great.
We would like to see a Defrag episode on Defrag and the return of the visual indicator
(we are hooked on watching moving blue blocks! Better than TV!)
(The video is kinda glitchy).
Silverlight support for Chrome and other site updates
May 27, 2009 at 2:31 AMWhat about Opera support? Silverlight seems to work 95% ok on most sites that DONT check for specific browsers. Why would anyone choose to kick out users without letting them in (even at their own risk)?
Oh, microsoft's main site is one of those obnoxious sites
