2 plus awesome = The just released netduino plus 2!
Nov 09, 2012 at 10:20 AMI have to say... One of the amazing things about .NET Micro Framework that made this upgrade possible is its excellent architecture. This new board uses a super-fast Cortex-M4F ARM microcontroller with THUMB2 instructions instead of the older ARMv4 microcontrollers with THUMB/ARM instructions.
And our C# and VB applications are none the wiser
Existing code just works.
Thanks for featuring this, Greg! I can't wait to see what kinds of projects this major increase in flash, ram, speed, and features enables for developers and makers.

Netduino is opening up to an wider audience with the .Net Micro Framework v4.2 release
Jun 20, 2011 at 7:54 AMOne quick note... Visual Basic Express is now supported by the .NET Micro Framework 4.2 beta.
We appreciate all the excellent testing from the Visual Basic community so far, and are excited to welcome them into the Netduino and .NET Micro Framework communities.

A Tweeting .NET Micro Framework breathalyzer
May 19, 2011 at 1:37 PMHi chris,
You could add a GPS sensor to the tweeting breathalyzer using the serial interface on digital pins 0 and 1 (or send GPS coordinates from your Windows Phone to your Netduino). You could even log readings to a MicroSD card if you wanted to create a convenient location/velocity/sobriety history.
[That is of course all in jest--although it could make for a cool remix of this project.]
