This is the first of a series of videos where we will follow developers as they take the steps to give their Windows Phone applications make-overs. Our first guinea pig is Mangesh Deshpande and he needed some design tips and tweaks to take his app, "Meal Nirvana" to the next level. He met with our design team and resident expert, Arturo Toledo and has begun the redesign work. We will check back with Mangesh every now and then to track his progress. Please feel free to make suggestions as this is meant to be interactive and he welcomes your tips and thoughts as well.
The final application will be revealed in a new show we are launching called "Amp up your Apps". We will also be accepting nominations for apps of yours that you think could use a bit of a make-over.
Enjoy!

Well I spent an inordinate amount of time on one of my first apps "Songster" but I don't think it has ever reached its true potential (UI and internal gubbins)
I'm also aware that there is room for improvement around one of my latest apps "Live Tile Browser". Definitely a sound concept but needs help with the UI and internals (I am keen to migrate it to Azure and create an easy to use developer API)
I'm also keen to do anything to improve and promote my charity news App "Live Tile News"

Will be watching Mangesh and "Meal Nirvana" with interest.
This looks like it is going to be an interesting new show!
BTW Might be interesting to do a show around porting a WP7 App to Windows 8?
Show the different screens and the markup. Channel 9 is about seeing things happen, not just talking. Show examples of the screens before and after and maybe the markups by the design expert and maybe learn the reason behind the designer's changes
agreed !!! we need screen shorts
@issieman:We will definitely have screen shots next time- thanks for the feedback!
