How do I download the videos?

  • To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”

Why should I download videos from Channel9?

  • It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
  • You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
  • If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!

Which version should I choose?

  • If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
  • If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
  • If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
  • If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.

Right click “Save as…”

“The LINQ Project is a codename for a set of extensions to the .NET Framework that encompass language-integrated query, set, and transform operations. It extends C# and Visual Basic with native language syntax for queries and provides class libraries to take advantage of these capabilities.”

Wee Hyong Tok (SQL MVP) is one of Singapore’s local experts who has been keeping abreast of the project.  He dropped by Chewy’s office (Developer Evangelist) to talk about LINQ and show it in action.  In this video:

    I think source code was obfuscated for HUGE reason! Big Smile

    So, result of this video equal to 0. Just because words are just a mix of sounds and absolutely worthless, but source code isn't visible at all.Cool

    I really like the way that they have mixed Camtasia with video footage - makes the code a lot easier to understand and follow.  Maybe something for other C9 videos?

    Yeah, sorry about that folks.  The multi-bit rate encoding for the streamed version of this video made the "code" seem as if it was blurred out.  Heck, my head looks like something out of a bad Hong Kong movie (accentuated my bad haircut).

    Tech reason: screen cap resolution != encoded streaming video resolution

    If you would like to view the code, download the hi-res video.  Wee Hyong's code samples are quite cool.

    Thanks for high lighting the issue... we'll look into how we can fix this.

    I thought this was a great introduction to LINQ, not to mention some of the Lisp-like syntax in C# 3.0. The download of the full video so you can see the code is well worth it!

    hi, just went through the video. 

    thought this was an excellent piece that complements the other videos on channel9 on LINQ featuring Anders Hejlsberg et al. -- sort of a "about LINQ for mere mortals"

    enjoyed it!   of course,  the singlish fostered a sense of familiarity too... Wink

    Excellent demonstration of an excellent technology! I particularly like the added production effort you put in:
    1. Handy on-screen pop-ups to present additional information from time to time, such as the BLINQ clarification and relevant URLS.
    2. Integration with Camtasia footage was much more slick than the usual "camera pointing at LCD monitor" approach used on Channel 9
    I think these production ideas could go well in other C9 videos...
