Come Get Some !
Now for SL 1.1 !!
I will watch later ... I'm at work atm...
big question I have: import Photoshop .psd files into expression blend / design.
when I tried to do that it seems that design just makes a big bitmap of the layered vector'ed psd which is about worthless.
for the near term not many (if any) art / design types will have any of the expression stuff, most if not all of them have paid big $$$ for the photoshop and flash tools. they will make things in that tool set.
so we need *MUST HAVE* tools that bridge that gap!
I know that E-Rain is working on a flash to xaml tool... that's one place that can help.
but what about a .psd to .xaml tool also ?? anyone doing one??
MSFT or anyone ??
Please do something like the Windows Update control detection. People don't mind the slow download (some of us still consider <10 MB download slow) if you give us progress updates (or fake it).
I was unable to find the Silverlight Halo 3 movie... Seems like everything on halo3.msn.com is Flash based
I hope that the update gets rolled in wu so it's just there on clients after a few updates ...
Thanks. Hard to find in all that flash
Is there a way to copy and paste text which is displayed by Silverlight? e.g. on text intensive sites like www.tafiti.com it would be nice to actually be able to select and copy text.
Will Expression Studio Blend version 2.0 fully support Silverlight through 1.1 and 2.0?
Also, to what extend will development be supported inside Blend as opposed to having to develop in Visual Studio and then move to Blend?
Suggest a second video on tool support for Silverlight development as well as design.
Using Silverlight 1.0, Streaming of a well known channel from Turkey.
There are also other videos in English. [Streaming of course.]

I agree, unfortunately in the current version of Silverlight the TextBlock does not raise the needed events and a few other methods to select text.
Yes a tools video is a good idea. We have the one with Expression Encoder but covering a Blend and VS comparision is a good idea. Blend is currently focused on designer-centric tasks while as expected VS is focused on developer-centric tasks.
Nice video, nice sandbox.
I do want to know how to playback an in-memory (synthesized) sound. How do I do that in Silverlight?
I don't see a lot of audio stuff there.
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.media.aspx
It almost looks like I'm going to have to create the audio in-memory, then post it to a server and then stream it back in the client from another address. I'm mistaken, right?
If not, then that's going to be one hell of a latency...
Nice job to the MS team involved. When is Channel 9 going to convert to Silverlight for video delivery?
