Silverlight 4 is here! (Channel 9)

Silverlight 4 is now available for download.

Silverlight 4 enhances the building of business applications, media applications, and applications that reach beyond the browser. New features include printing support, significant enhancements for using forms over data, support for several new languages, full support in the Google Chrome web browser, WCF RIA Services, modular development with MEF, full support in Visual Studio 2010, bi-directional text, web camera and microphone support, rich text editing, improved data binding features, HTML support, MVVM and commanding support, new capabilities for local desktop integration running in the new “Trusted Application” mode such as COM automation and local file access.

Why is it that RIA Services is still in RC state included into Silverlight 4 Tools released recently? And when will be released?

Ria has been a bit behind the SIlverlight timetable all along, given that this is an "RC" i would imaging that we will have the final in a month or less as long as it goes well.... we need to kick it around and see if any bugs fall out.... if they do send em back to MS for disposal

Silverlight 4 Tools for Visual Studio is also in RC 2, and the download page says:

This download will install all components necessary for Silverlight 4 and RIA Services development:
- Silverlight 4 developer runtime (final release)
- Silverlight 4 SDK (software development kit, final release)
- Update for Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Web Developer Express 2010 (KB976272, pre-release)
- Silverlight 4 Tools for Visual Studio 2010 RC2
- WCF RIA Services for Silverlight 4 RC2
The final release of Silverlight 4 Tools will be made available in the near future.
