Stephen Toub shows off two demos, one using the AsParallel statement to dramatically decrease LINQ query times and the second demo is a simple image editing application that enables you to add dynamic coloring/black and white to a photo, similar to effects
in movies like Pleasantville or Sin City.
As this is a CPU-intensive operation, you can see how changing a for loop to a Parallel.For loop dramatically improves the application's performance.
