The Music Steering Project is a software project that analyzes audio content to dynamically build a playlists of similar music (similar to Pandora). This enables you to easily discover new artists and songs, a problem I've personally had with a Zune subscription.
It also enables you to set the mood of music you want to listen to and have the software automatically build you a playlist based on your mood.
Uh... this isn't really about sharing playlists. It is about putting context and information onto your music programmaticly and being able to use this rich meta data to navigate and select music in a more user centric way. This way when you listen to a song
and want to listen to similar songs the device or computer has information about what that song is like and can pick songs that are similar.
posted by Jhaks
