Brian and Dan may have day jobs, but they are also doing a ton of work on PDC including running the Show Off contest. Show Off is a really cool experience, but it’s kinda hard to explain in writing so Brian and Dan give it to us in plain words and tell us how easy it is to get involved (and maybe win some big prizes). Plus, we hear all the PDC sessions are going to be online within 24 hours for FREE! Is that really true!? The guys confirm for us the dealio on the cool PDC virtual experience, and tell us what to expect.

I saw the "ambush" in past videos in conferences.... and... I... hate... them.

They're just RUDE. It's fine here, but don't do 'em in sessions.

If I were giving a talk & someone "ambush" me, I'd shoo them away just as rudely. If they don't cooperate, I'd punch someone in the face.

Haha - well Mike and Jennifer are pretty rude people, I've gotten used to it. But I'd never dare punch Jennifer in the face - she fights back!

I am happy to hear confirmation that you plan to put the sessions online. It was actually done for the last PDC. But only a few weeks after the fact apparently through some kind of special effort by someone in Microsoft. I found those presentations very useful and I am looking forward to the ones from this PDC.

Its going to be great. You can see the stubbed out pages now on Channel 9, like this one for the ASP.NET MVC talk that will also include Jeff Atwood from StackOverflow.com. There is no player on them now, the player will light up once the session is published.

It would have been fun to do Channel 9 - After Dark, but I don't think that would actually work (in that I'd get fired)

But Chadk got it right, I'm married so there are no interesting stories!

dnjake...glad to hear that the PDC05 session recordings were useful! It just so happens that I was the guy behind that project. You're right that it took us 3-4 weeks to get the recordings online. I remember that our bandwidth usage was insane. Brian has upped the game with his 24-hour turnaround time. Truly amazing.

So... there's no This Week On C9 this week?

I mean, I realise news is slow and that everyone is waiting for PDC, and that you guys need to market PDC over here, but... there were already a whole bunch of Countdown to PDC videos posted regularly. Do we really need to replace other shows with CTPDC as well?
