Introduction: Preview handlers is a new technology in Windows Vista and in Outlook 2007. You can read about the managed preview handler framework on my blog here.

Can you tell me which low level Vista API are used/involved in Preview Handlers or Preview Handler framework .

I haven't tried it but in theory you could simulate what the shell does in your app. Your starting point are the COM Interfaces that you must implement for the preview handler (as per the msdn mag article).

Built for Orcas B2, but he told me most of the tools also work in VS2005.
