The Visual Studio 2008 IDE has plenty of those as you can see in this video. Related to that, VS2005 does the job on Windows Vista, but it is quite obvious (to me at least!) that it is a "ported" application and not one designed to fully take advantage of the platform; in contrast, VS2008 leverages Vista-only features as I demonstrate in this video. This works fine for me so maybe it is a specific firewall/machine config issue.

In the meantime have you tried the Download option (10MB ZIP)?
Try that instead please (click on the 'here' word in the Download video section above)...

Note that you don't need the Beta, VS2008 was released last month, so get the RTM. You can find this in your MSDN subscription or if you are not an MSDN subscriber get the trial.

Did it roll off the edge of a HDD when new content was added?
