Abstract: win8genapp30
In today’s Community Corner, Chris Koenig welcomes Microsoft MVP Michael L. Perry to the show as he demos for us an application he built called Update Controls which can help Windows 8 app developers simplify their code by automatically discovering dependencies so that you won’t have to manage them in your view model.

Next Steps:
Step #1 – Download the Tools for Windows 8 App Development
Step #2 – Download Visual Studio Express for Windows 8
Step #3 – Start building your own Apps for Windows 8

  • Thanks

  • just wondering how much work it would take to change the framework so that instead of writing:

    Independent<string> _name = new Independent<string>();

    you could write:

    [Independent]
    string _name;

    if possible at all, desirable, or worth the effort. Smiley

    Would make for cleaner code.
    Seems very promising though.

    Thank you.
