After the release of Channel 9 Patrol, we just had to get Jamie into a C9 interview of his own. So Duncan flew to Toronto... really...

Good interview and fun to get to see and hear one of the regulars here. Nice one Jamie and whoever it was (why not tell us?) who did the interview?
  • I thought it was Duncan?  Don't remember if it was mentioned or not

Great interview. I liked the idea of niners having blogs on C9. We need interviews with other prominent niners.

Duncan (if you did the interview)....

How many times could you interupt Jamie? Poor Jamie, your interview got completely hijacked Crying
  • CharlesCharles Welcome Change

Great to see Jamie in the flesh. Thanks for taking the time to do this, Jamie. Nice work, Duncan! Smiley

More Niners in C9 videos. Why yes, Watson. Excellent idea.

True.. I thought it was a bit annoying Smiley Maybe Duncan was excited to meet jamie Smiley
  • rjdohnertrjdohnert You will never know success until you know failure
    Good job Jamie, Duncan.
  • mejamie Niner since 2004
haha - i just saw it for the first time now too

    * i was so nervous my voice was shaking...
didnt mean to ramble on ...

anyway - thanks jeff/duncan - im looking forward to more 9er interviews
  • Duncan MackenzieDuncanma "yeah that's awful close, but that's not why I'm so hard done by"
For those that asked, yes it was me... I'm used to posting entries as myself so I forgot to mention it.

As far as interrupting Jamie too much... sorry... I think it is an exaggeration to suggest the interview was 'hijacked' though.
  • mejamie Niner since 2004
seemed to me like i never shut up!  you had no choice haha
  • I was a bit disappointed with how infrequently you said 'eh'. Definitely a cool way to learn more about niners though ..
  • I thought it was a great interview. To say it was "hijacked" is definitely over the top, IMO.

It was nice to learn a bit more about you Jamie. Glad you didn't decide to join the exodus. Smiley
  • Sven GrootSven Groot Don't worry... I'm a doctor.

Cool video. Jamie is a lot more coherent when he talks than when he posts. Tongue Out

Seriously, though, I know Jamie and I don't exactly see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, but he's a cool guy and I wish I had half the creative talent he has.

So you are beginning to do interviews with niners? I wouldn't mind, once i get to seattle.

Very good interview indeed. Interresting stuff.

I noticed in the beginning. It looked like Jamie were looking up?
I dont think it's a good idea to have your head higher, so the guy you interview wont have to look up. It's also a bad feeling when you have somone litteraly looking down at you.

  • Jamie's computer looks like a Canadian made Tagar system, or it could just be the same model of case.

    That was a fun video.
  • thats cool dude, jamie you are the 9er of the week, smile.
  • MinhMinh WOOH!  WOOH!
    hollar Smiley
  • Outstanding!  Good to see Jamie up there.  I love his work and it's great to have a face to go along with it.

Quite the achievement, as a niner getting your own C9 interview. They flew out to Toronto to interview the guy, i think this speaks volumes to what Jamie has meant to the C9 community.

Good to see Jamie getting recognized for all the cool stuff he has done for C9. Smiley I'm guessing Jamie will be a C9 mod for sure in the next version of C9...Wink

The C9 team should have jamie on a conf. call when they are discussing the next version of C9, get this guy's input. He really cares about this place, just as much as the people who built it.

Nice job Jamie and good on the C9 team for making this happen. Smiley
  • Good to put a face to the name.

And when do I get my personal interview?
  • Nice job Jamie, I was looking for your Jim Allchin Voodoo doll....
  • jamie, what are you drinking, during the interview? coffee?

Is your dog also in the video?
  • Duncan MackenzieDuncanma "yeah that's awful close, but that's not why I'm so hard done by"
Sadly no dog... after we were done I did turn the camera back on for a few moments on his little dog and you can see some frames at http://www.flickr.com/photos/duncanma/tags/jamie/ but I couldn't figure out a good way to bring that footage into the main video...

I find it quite interesting to hear what someone actually sounds like.  Don't know about you but after a while reading all these posts my mind starts to put a 'voice' to the regulars Smiley

    Great video, Thanks!

Nice to see the face behind all the c9park cartoons.

Where did you get that background from with the microsoft / google buildings? I assume that didn't come out of a normal printer?

Jamie really should get recruited by Microsoft. I think he has alot of enthusiasm, artistic, and (coding?) talent.

Maybe he would be a valuable member of the Windows graphic design and layout team or something? Tongue Out

    Regards,

  • Stevan VeselinovicSteve411 Me, all suited up!

Jamie, you are a C9 GOD! Fuking awesome to see you on here!

    Great interview.
I think it's great to put a face and voice with their posts on C9.  Also cool to hear the history of how Jamie got to where he is at today.

This is the first video I've ever watched on C9.  I'll have to start making time for more.

Jamie, what were those two guitars I saw behind you (make/model)?

I have a '77 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe myself, so just curious.
I'd like to get my hands on a Fender Strat Plus Deluxe someday.
  • mejamie Niner since 2004
    Gibson Les Paul Model Deluxe

    1978-ish Fender Strat

    * the amp is a Marshall Bluesbreaker (clapton model)
