Over at IStartedSomething.com, Long has a very cool post about a company called Better Place
. In addition to a nice TED presentation, Better Place as a better face for the average car GPS as part of their electric car system mentioned at TED.
This GPS uses a Windows XP install to provide the WPF, which Better Place software architect (and former MSFT technologies consultant) Tamir Khason says boots faster than a Nokia E71 phone
. Awesome interface and hands down the best looking aftermarket GPS interface I've seen yet. Be sure to check out the video
