 I like the JVC HD 100.

great show, i thought it was put together very well. and nice subtitles.

I´m not sure if the HD cam market is ripe enough yet, at least at a mass consumer level, but its interesting to see what some major brands have to offer. I had enough trouble deciding on which digi cam to buy.... so no HD for me yet.


If you had to choose a brand rep out of the three, which would you choose?
I´d go with Miss JVC, but only cos of her nice smile.

HD cameras are amazing and the time has come for more movies, both studio funded and even independent to make the switch to HD.  This is the future of video and there are so many benefits to it.  More films being made in HD means more digital cinemas as well as better content for the home theater enthusiasts out there looking to upgrade to the next-gen digital video formats(HD-DVD and Blu-Ray).

I'm glad to see the availability and price of HD video cameras continue to drop.  However, I just don't think its a worthwhile investment yet.  I think I'll give it a few more years when the market has matured and HD and Blue-ray are the standard.  I should probably look into purchasing a new digital camera though.

Ha!  Remember the story about the guy with the RFID chip in his hand?  Well, I forwarded that all the way up my command chain to a super-boss who's overseeing a test of RFID technology here.  I finally got some elevator time with the guy to see if he liked the clip.

He said that he thought it was interesting and funny and sent it out to his whole team, but "Those first few minutes, with those ditzy hosts babbling away, those were pretty painful.  I was kind of upset with you for wasting my time, until they quit talking."  Ha!

Yes we did, but at this point we're not setup at studios to have visitors.

I went to the DV Expo this past year and got to play with all 4 manufactures cameras (sony wasn't listed here) and Canon is by far suprior. If you can get over the price tag and the size it had byfar the best image. Next in line for me was the panasonic. The P2 technlogy is sweet and ahead of its time.
