Ahh, I miss my old Atari ST, it had a MIDI port standard.

Cool...Reason!
I bought that a few years ago. Too bad I never had the time to learn it. Great overview of what you do. Thanks!

Checked out the myspace page, got some good stuff there guys. Keep it up.
As for the show, so far so good. Any chance of focusing more on gaming in the future?

I really like these guys and their music, but I got a little annoyed by the "macs suck" comment, especially considering they've never used one. All the new macs are fully customizable and easy to upgrade. I also think some of the software available is better on macs. Given, every computer has its problems, but ignorant insults are hardly needed. I game on PCs, but I do all my work on a mac and couldn't be happier.

BTW, this episode is severly lacking Tina, my goddess and love.

I really hope they get picked up by a label. I hope they head down south sometime for a concert or something.

Some what unrelated, but I recently got the new version of Metal Gear Soild 3 that has the online mode. It really rocks to play on there. A lot of the guys from the gamefaqs forum play on the Olga server there if any of you here happen to play. I am TDR on there also. So come on out there and have some fun, as we chase each other though the woods with guns.

Haha, sorry, we were just having alittle fun, and what better comment than "Macs suck" while at MS Studios?

We have many friends that use a mac in making music, and they are great for that, we were just having a little fun.
Although for us, I could give you 5 or 10 more reasons "off the record" of why pc's are better for those just starting out with music production.
If you know what you are doing, have plenty of money available for a MAC and for all your music software needs /or you already know exactly what software you want, then go grab a mac asap.... and spend more money than we have to spend.
but hey, we are the epidemy of "broke * musicians".... and at least one of us is a punk *.... so hey, can't expect anything less from us

It seemed a little odd to keep seeing the back of Laura's head. I don't think I've ever seen that shot on Letterman or Leno...
Another good show - that program that TiM is using looks really cool. Everybody looked really fashionable this time, too.

Oh yeah, and I have used a MAC when I worked at a graphic design agency, where I heard the "MACs are so much better than PCs for desgn" everyday from other designers.
Of course, they had never really used a PC for design...... and guess what, ever after 2 years of working there, I would rather do graphics on my PC. But hey, thats just me.... the whole one button mouse always pissed me off.....in which case, I got it set up to use a 2 button mouse, to work and look like a....you guessed it... a PC.

Amazing stuff. That was an excellent and informative video about the music software you guys use.
Man, I remember using music software back in college, such as Vegas, Acid, Sound Forge and Pro Tools. Things have certainly advanced.
Never heard of Reason, Cubase and SX, but they sure do look cool. Does BT use this software?
Anyway, great music, TIM. I'm sure "Wake Up" will be picked up and released by a label, soon.
Keep hope alive.

Also, if any of you know other talented electronic musicians send em my way! We'd love to do more stuff like this.
I´d sign these guys in a jiffy. Talent.
Only US bands I guess no Laura?

Indeed, TIM kicks major *. Someone sign these dudes, fast! I'd buy the record.
I don't know any other Seattle electronica bands.
TIM should certainly be on 10 as much as possible, but if you want other electronica(outside of WA) talent...see if Crystal Method, BT, Chemical Bros., etc. can ever stop by.
That would be interesting if you got Daft Punk.
Actually, TIM's myspace page lists a lot of the really good electronica talent, as their inspirations.

Redeemed! True, given you were in the middle of Microsoft Studios, your comment was quite appropriate. I'm sorry if I seemed a little harsh, I didn't hold it against you guys, but I still get annoyed whenever mac or pc users bash each other. I use both, so I don't hold anything against either side.
...and yes...the one button mouse sucks!
Keep up the awesome work, guys! Peace!

Get a hold of him, you won't be disapointed!!! And let him know that we tipped you guys off to him so he'll owe us one

You know I am not sure what BT uses at the moment. i know recently he was doing some stuff in Ableton, but I am sure he usesjust about everything from time to time, not to mention he is currently building his own synths and VST plugin.

Great to see Theory in Motion back on explaining what they do. Cool to see a similar setup as well!
Cubase Sx rocks w/ Reason that's what I use. Some other great software for sampling and drums that I use are:
Halion
Serato
Battery
For those of you dabbling in music prodcution definitely check out these applications.

Oh, I didn't say that! It turns out that's where you keep all the really exciting hair. You've got so many more spikes than we knew about!
And, for the record, they could stick the camera in your armpit and you'd still look hot. W00t!

I love the back of your head, Laura. As a matter of fact, there isn't any part of you I don't like to see.

Yeah, I'm disappointed by the list and I'm sure there is a HELL of a lot more electronica bands out there in Seattle/WA.
Having said that, I did find a few other electronica bands from Seattle:
Dollfactory
http://www.dollfactory.org/main.html
Technetium
http://www.wildsidepdx.com/Technetium
United State of Electronica
http://www.usemusic.com/
Electric Birds

Lucy Bland

As far as DJs...again, I bet there are many around Seattle, but here's one that I found:
Lusine http://www.myspace.com/lusinespace
