Microsoft's Interactive, Touchscreen DigiDesk is Amazing

This got picked up by all the major's back at the beginning of May but the Silverlight announcement hit at around the same time so some of you may have missed it.

Microsofts Centre for Information Worker is developing an interactive, touchscreen digital desk dubbed the "DigiDesk" that has to be seen to be believed.

The desk was demo-ed on stage at Convergence 2007 and is apparently on display at the fabled MCIW building in Redmond along with (I imagine) countless other techno-ma-logical innovations.

Check out the video of Russ Burtner's demo from Convergence 2007

There are only two of these desks in the world (at present) but hopefully we'll see this technology start to be implemented in consumer products in the near future.

As seen on istartedsomething, Engadget and Gizmodo
