VSO Image Resizer - Free & Handy

If, like me, you're constantly resizing images for emails, blog posts, MSN IM avatars etc. etc. you'll probably find the VSO Image Resizer tool very handy.

The VSO Image Resizer is a freeware application from French developer VSO that allows you to quickly and easily resize multiple image formats just by right clicking on the file in Windows Explorer.

Select from preset profiles for common resolutions or create your own like I have for on10.net blog posts (see pic). The tool supports multiple file types and batch conversions, is optimised for Windows Vista and best of all will cost you zero dollars and zero cents.

Check out VSO's web site for more info or download the tool directly.

That actually is pretty handy. For the moment Irfanview 32 and ACDC must be opened (or a similar app) to do just what a batch command through the right click menu should, if only the windows right click command menu were just a bit more useful.

Also espcially useful because wmp11 doesn't automatically resize images larger than 2048x1536.
