Yeah, what a tease! He shows us the document and there isn't even a download link. Looks like quite a hefty download but multiple PDF docs would be ideal.

Just One quick question, how does one go about obtaining a copy of the Managed Code App Architectural Manual? Sometimes I need help putting myself to sleep at night.

Stick "PAG managed code" into Google and the first link takes you to the appropriate section of MSDN.

OK, got it. Seems that it is a good starting point:

Application Architecture for .NET: Designing Applications and Services

but the article implies:

December 2002

Applies to:
   .NET Framework Version 1.0
   Visual Studio .NET Version 2002
   SQL Server 2000
   Windows 2000

Might be a little outdated, I was hoping to get the same version sitting on Christopher Brumme's desk.

The doc that I waved around can be found at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnpag/html/scalenet.asp. It has everything you need to know about writing managed code that performs well and scales.
