How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
- MP3 (Audio only)
- High Quality MP4 (iPad, PC)
- MP4 (iPod, Zune HD)
It might not sound geeky enough for Channel 9, but there's a lot of technology in Flight Simulator.
And, there's a sizeable team of developers and testers who work there. Steve Lacey, Software Architect, on the Flight Simulator team gives us a tour to meet some of the geeks and hear some of the stories behind the development of the world's best-known simulator.

Woohoo .. lush, this video rocks .. Bill Gates interview, who needs it!
Good job scoble and co
I saw .. that is really silly, I mean that eBay is the only place they could find one .. wonder how much they ended up paying for it?
Great tour! Hope you will get to the artist department too.
Folks, thanks for the great tour. Well done! FS is one of my favorite MS products.
But, the tour went a bit further for me... it's yet another reminder of why MS is such a great company. The dedication, drive, vision, and broad diversity of the team's experience and perspective are really inspiring. That's what I've always liked best about MS, and that's the type of team I'd like to work with someday.
Keep up the great work - I can't wait to see what comes next!!!
Channel 9 Guy: "That's in Chicago, right?"
Great example of the ignorance of Coasters about "Fly over land".
Only have one thing to say..... CFS4
pleeeeease :^)
Hehe, they would have to buy Oleg Maddox for that one
