Das Silverlight SDK ist ein Paket an Tools für die Entwicklung von Silverlight-Anwendungen. Zum einen beinhaltet es die Projektvorlagen für Visual Studio. Damit lassen sich Silverlight-Anwendungen genauso einfach erstellen, wie Windows Forms- oder WPF-Anwendungen. Darüber hinaus beinhaltet das SDK eine spezielle Version der Silverlight-Laufzeitumgebung: Die Entwickler-Laufzeitumgebung mit speziellen Debug- und Hilfsfunktionen.
Das SDK kann kostenfrei unter http://www.silverlight.net/getstarted/ heruntergeladen werden.
