Great segment, Tina. I was totally unaware of these guys, but they're giving me a ton of ideas. I just started a video and film class this semester, so maybe I'll put some of my stuff up on Youtube after the semester is over.

Yeah, the internet is totally awesome. It's like a giant un-ending magazine that just keeps growing. There's nothing too weird about comparing airfare prices...a goddess can dream. I fancy on-line wishlists myself. You can make a detailed list of anything you've ever wanted no matter how crazy or unreachable something might be (hint, hint)! Everything is linkable, so you can just check out whatever strikes your fancy at any given moment.
Anyway, I'm goning to check out Barats and Bereta now. Thanks.
BTW...great intro conflict between you and Foy. Nice outfit too.

Hi Tina and Laura,
Great seeing you two together again. BTW Laura I like your tat's or is it tatt's, well they look hot on you that much I know. Tina? I... um well, I just wanted to tell you, I thought you looked pretty. I'm a little nervous writing this 'cause I'm lookin' at a comment you left, which is a fantastic comment btw, you write beautifully. See you pretty ladies next time.

Consider that as little as 5-10 years ago the only option for two young comics like Barats and Bereta was to sell all of their possessions, move from small town USA to L.A. or NYC, live like animals for years off of crappy food service day jobs while waiting for some cigar-chomping big money TV network exec to luck into seeing them do their thing at the Improv's amateur night.
Just in the past four or five years we've seen the Internet become such a great equalizing force for artists. Community-driven Internet video sites are awesome because they allow artists to be in total control.
From this interview (nice job, BTW) it looks like these guys can do what they like and like what they do. They don't need to become the humiliated rumpsmoochers most comics have to become in order for a Viacom or a Time Warner VP to sign off on spending the millions required to develop and promote a show around them; they already have a show, it's available online and on demand, and it's funnier than anything I've seen on TV in a long time...
...okay, funniest thing on TV since before Chappelle had his meltdown.
Note to Barats and Bereta: Please do not meltdown.

"That's cool they are from Spokane"
Yeah, it's not often you hear that phrase, is it?

Oh, phenomenon is the singular form, phenomena is plural. Amazing what 2 years of high school Latin will do to a brain.

That's why I mentioned it =) It's one heck of drive, too.

These guys are so cool, what a fun job. I have decided to write my own theme song as well. Something like this:
Laura and Tina, Laura and Tina
Tina is big but Laura is leaner
Laura is nice and Tina is meaner
Tina is dirty and Laura is cleaner
Laura is cool and Tina's a weiner!
hahah
You guys should film it, seriously.

I totally agree...
...it was a great interview and Luke and Joe will undoubtedly allow Ten to license the music from "The Barats and Bereta Theme Song."
