I already have and love the 360. I'm gonna wait a few months after launch to get a PS3, I wanna see how well it does, and there's not many good games coming at launch so I hear. Heavenly Sword comes out in like March. I'm not sure if I'll get a Wii yet. Maybe later on like a year after launch like I did with the Gamecube. Right now 360 is looking like the all around best system. Live Arcade is amazing with Street Fighter 2 and Ultimate MK3 coming.. booyah.

Sorry, couldn't reist. But all puns aside, I'm mixed about how much gameplay the Wii wireless controller is going to give before
1. the battery dies
2. it gets broken
3. It gets lost
From the tech side, it looks to be a niche controller that will have limited support. However it should be noted that it spooked Sony into a 'me too'ing the motion control into the PS3 controller at the risk of killing the dual shock effect.
BTW did I miss the part in the vid about Spore? Did TWood and Laura catch the Robin Williams demo?

Part 1
Laura, I couldn't agree with you more about God of War 2! God of War in my opinion was the best and most enjoyable game of the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era so, of course I'm ecstatic about 2 or Divine Retribution or whatever David Jaffe's calling it now. Doesn't matter the name it's going to be amazing and I'm going to be buying it!
Tina, I've got a small bone to pick with you! I completely agree with the Ubisoft pick but you named 3 games coming from Ubisoft and none of them was Assassin's Creed!! I understand that it was just trailers this year and it wasn't playable on the floor but from what I've heard of the presentation they did behind the scenes for video game mags, and G4 and what not that it is absolutely amazing. Free roaming, takes place during the Crusades, revolutionary gameplay, most amazing graphics ever right up there with Gears of War and everything else I've seen.

Part 2!
I have faith in Jade and the rest of Ubisoft, that is the next gen game I'm looking forward to the most!!
But I will hand it to you both the coverage was great and you made some awesome picks especially Guitar Hero 2!! One of the most original games of all time and so addicting, my blisters won't go away and 2 is going to be even better with Co-op rhythm guitar and bass, plus 3 chord notes and other random goodies! Thank you two for the wonderful coverage of E3 it was fantastic, entertaining as always and very informative!

I love you gals!
That was, by far, the best segment you ladies have done so far.
I'm partial to the Nintendo Wii thus far. I'll start a flame war by
saying it will dominate this next console cycle and open the gaming
community to thousands of new gamers, young and old alike.
The Xbox 360 has been a huge dissapointment to me thus far. It
failed to deliver anything next gen until just recently. However, it looks to have some great new titles on the way. Huxley, Prey, Too Human, and Gears of War look amazing. It's nice to finally see some amazing games on the horizon.
While God of War II and Guitar Hero II look great, Sony has really
dropped a bomb. Other than Assasin's Creed, I'm not particularly
impressed by anything I've seen for the PS3, but its still early.
Whatever the outcome, I am on your side.

Love Tina you are such a babe!
I was able to try God of War II at E3 it was the best looking game on Sony's both. Also I got a chance to try a few of the PS3 games (There was no line for it) running on HD. Unfortunately I didn't get to see Gears of War or the Wii. I waited for 2.5 hours to get in to Nintendo's both but by the end of it I was already too tired, hungry, and when nature calls you know you have to go...!. The way I see it is best online play would be the X360. For multimedia features I like the PS3. And the Wii best for kids titles and new gammers.
I miss Tina & Laura E3 coverage on G4 from previous years. They both know games and knew what they were talking about.

Number 1, the PS3! The power alone is going to be incredible! But with that said of course I'm going to be trying to pick one up when it comes out later this year. But, I'm also going to be picking up a 360 here pretty quick as well. Both the 360 and the PS3 blew me away, they both have incredible graphics so no favorite there but the gameplay for both is going to be excellent! Gears of War (yay for the CliffyB sighting!), Lost Planet, and Too Human for the 360, those games right there are enough for me to get a 360. As for the PS3, they are going to have MGS4, Heavenly Sword, Assassin's Creed, and don't forget this will be the last God of War game coming out on the PS2 so it's future lies with the PS3!

But I'm not a Wii hater, don't get me wrong, it's revolutionary and looks amazing and if you're into that kind of thing you're going to love it! To me with the whole nunchuck and motion sensor features it looks like something that I'd like to play every now and then and have a blast with it, but not really interested in owning it. Wouldn't play it every day like I would the 360 or the PS3.

...after standing in line for two hours, you'd have to also.
Anyway, this was a great segment that reminded me of all the fun times you lovely ladies have given us at E3s come and gone. My pick for this year has to be the Wii. It just seems like a fun console for all ages. I have to admit I'm eager to have a go at Zelda, Mario, and Metroid with the Wii-mote.
Microsoft certainly had a far more impressive show this year. Almost everything looks good. I'm particularly eager to have a go at Prey and Gears of War. Cliffy B is the man...even if Tina was assualting him.
Sony had a huge reputation, but really underimpressed this year. While I like God of War II and Guitar Hero II on the PS2 and Assasin's Creed and Warhawks on the PS3, everything else just felt so underwelming.
Ah well. Great Show. E302 was probably your best. You interviewed Robin Williams and Travis Oats pinched your * on TV. Awesome!

That you two were at E3, and you didn't even say 'hello'!!!
I love your coverage!
peace. Tony J.

Outstanding! Thanks T&L for such a comprehensive coverage of E3. <3

Sadly, I don not own a console. I did once have a PS2 but I ended up flogging it coz I´m couldn´t get used to playing in front of the TV (I´m a PC gamer at heart). Having said that, I think the xbox is beginning to ripen, the Wii is interesting, but not really my cup of tea and the PS3 still has a lot to live up to, but I guess you can count on Sony to deliver the goods. My choice as of today would be the 360... after all, it has a good head start. Let the next gen wars begin!

XBOX 360!!
XBOX 360!!
I'll choose the Wii because it will offer a whole new way to play games. Also it will be the most affordable of the next gen systems.

In the words of Queen I have to say....
JUST KIDDING. Sadly, I'm not a fan of Riiiiiiiiiidge Racer or attacking crabs for massive damage, so Sony's out of the question... FOR NOW.
"The Xbox 360 was killer"
My first console as I stated ages ago will be the wii. I have yet to get a 360, and probably will finish my reserve money on the wii before investing on a 360.

All the games you covered are great... but NO SPORE coverage???
but still... it's going to be a great 2nd half with all these new games and consoles! As far as your battle... I have a 360 and I will likely get a Wii just for the fact you will have access to most of the Sega Genesis games along with all the NES, SNES, & N64 games! and it plays GC games too. I don't even care if the new games on it are any good... the fact I will be able to play contra with a friend online is enough for me! as for the PS3... sony is insane. $600... come on, the only reason I would buy one is to sell it on eBay for $1400. Because we all know sony is known for not meeting their production forcasts. so their initial 2 mil is really going to be ~ 1 mil = shortage = $$$$ on eBay. I'll get one... in a year or so when they are $250 and FFXIII is out.

most likely the Wii...seems promising

My fear with the WiiMote revolves around that motion sensor. How much battery is it going to eat? How sturdy will it be over time? How do they plan on tweaking the gesture for different playing styles.
If Nintendo isn't careful, the Wii could be more about the controller than about the gameplay.

I had an original XBOX and now have a 360. Don't plan on getting another console.
