I made the jump to mac a few years ago after countless problems with PCs and couldn't be happier.  It's a more reliable platform and far more user friendly.  After three years time, I still haven't had any problems with the two Macs I own while I've lost count of the number of times my PC has had problems.  At this point, the only reason I keep a PC around is for gaming, because it seems to be the only thing it does well...when its working.

I give Microsoft a great deal of credit for lending support to Macs...and I'm very happy to see the Mac users get some love.  Here's a big hug to folks at Microsoft.  Thanks. Smiley

I'm also hoping that Bootcamp will launch Vista when its available.  If I can start gaming on my Macs, I have no reason to bother with PCs anymore.

Intel based Macs can run XP now via a duel boot setup and I'm sure Vista will end up running on them as well.  I have never used a Mac, but spending some time with one would be a good learning experience I think.  I can't see how it would be bad to be familiar with both Windows OS and Mac OS.  The gap is essential being bridged I guess, but Microsoft and Apple will always have their own unique operating systems I would assume!

What is this?  Bring back the old format.  I like how the episodes were separated in the weekly format.  In case I miss a day, I like to know which one.  Now I am in lost this new format.  The home page is overwhelming.

I click on the media link and everything is in a monthly format, that's fine.  I understand that the amount of episodes are growing.  Archiving into months is fine, but I like how the how the home page was displaying all the episodes of the current week.  It was simple and user friendly.

Yes, but the difference is in the manufacture and quality.  Apple produces  and distributes both the hardware and the software.  The result is a truly streamlined system that operates almost perfectly.  Given, the more secondary support macs get, the greater the chances problems will arise, but so far, Macs have provided users with excellent quality hardware and software.  That has given them their own distinction in the industry.

Apple is notrious for having hardware issues with first gen hardware. The new notbooks have heat issues, every new Ipod model seems to have an issue. Apple with limited hardware support has less hardware/software issues.

For performance yeah the high end does good, but mini's are just small and slow.

All that being said I can say something nice about apple, I love my IPod and for the price and storage its the best Media player out there.

As for Ituens, the prices are right, but the software is substandard.

Yah!  I mean, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and expect them to tweak it a bit...but the new layout did NOT seem intuitive at all.  Took me a while to find this page, despite the fact that today's epidsode is the biggest thing on the main page.

Also...while I'm typing this, the video is playing up above the top of my screen, so I can't see it.  Any way to get it to scroll down with me?  Or have the whole blog inside a window that I can scroll through?

Again, all I can say is I baught both my macs brand new at the time and have never had issues with either of them.  I haven't had any issues with itunes either, but I suppose one could...if it was running on a pc!

For the most part, Macs have a positive reputatation because a vast majority of users don't have problems with them.  There are always exceptions.

Bootcamp rocks! I basically had to learn the Mac for work purposes but I'm glad I did. The macbook pro is 1 sweet machine. I'm currently using it for all of my music production and video editing. I highly recommend it.

I, for one, happen to like this more mature format.  It gives the show a much more official look and reminds me of 9.  I love the sliding video, that was genius.  While this new format is more complicated, it really opens up the possibility of extended content.  Good Job!

I really like the title "The 10 Show with Laura Foy and Tina Wood."  That's classic and I really heart the girls.

Design wise I think the original layout had more personality but I imagine it would have been difficult to manage as the content grows. Personally I think this layout just needs some design flair to make it more alive, especially considering there is much more text on the home page. Also, I´m not sure how much use the big box provides. I really liked the windows at the top with the weeks videos, maybe that could be incorporated in some way? If I think of anything else I´ll post it.

I've had no "issues" with iTunes per say, it's all just been usuability and the fact that it's next to featureless with it comes to podcasting.  Podcasting was named after the fact that so many people had iPods and their podcasting part of iTunes is one of the saddest I've never seen.  There's no (apparent) way to view all the entries in a feed you're subscribed to.  If I don't have the iPod plugged into my machine and I sync my feeds, when I plug in the iPod later it doesn't sync the videos/audio/etc with my iPod.  I have to close out of iTunes, unplug the iPod and plug it back in, it's hard to subscribe to new blogs that aren't listed in the music store...the list goes on and on.  Sad

Awesome, thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to all of the new updates.

The entire 10 team is doing a great job, keep up the good work. I'm so glad that Tina and Laura have found a new home. =)

The new design is pretty alright. I think it will grow on me.

Although, it took FOREVER for the home page to load. I'm not used to that, but whatever. I like how the episodes are archived now. Except maybe the dates can be added some place on the page your looking at and not just the month.

Overall, nice job on pushing forward with the show and trying to improve on it.

Having to use and become familiar with a Mac for work is probably one of the best methods for becoming accustomed with OSX.  Thanks for sharing your experiences with it...

A little disorienting at first but manageable. You might totally confuse the newbies, but that may be a good thing and work like a filter... Hey, if you can't make it to the video, no soup for you.... TWO WEEKS! We can weed out the uninspired people. lmao...

Constructively, I think you may want to make it easy(or more obvious) to get here(video of the day), if this is intended to be the main main attraction. I like the fact you got easter eggs going on and that your broadening the scope of the site. Kinda finding it hard to get used to the video "details" at the top of the page as it seemed right at home right under the video but like all things i may get used to it. Finding the right balance can be challenging at first but it will come. Keep up the good work.
