I'm sorry but for the third day in a row... I am horribly disappointed in the presentation of these videos... once again, they try to use the same stereotypical and predictable attitude that drove so many away from (G4)TechTV. Sure, some of what was being talked about in each video is interesting... however the presentation makes it nearly unbearable.

I think I’ll give them until Friday in the hopes things improve, or at least cool down a bit. Otherwise I will chalk these two (or whoever is telling them to act this way) up as being very similar to Tom Green and Andy Milinokis and whose work I avoid like the plague for the simple fact that much of it is immature, extremely low brow and not one bit interesting.

on NeverWinter Nights, are you nuts? One of the most popular RPGs to have come out on the PC in the last 5 years. The fact that its world-building tool is powerful enough to make a game into an educational tool is something to be proud of, not to ridicule. I can't wait for NWN 2 to come out this year. What are you talking about? I find this show to be highly entertaining. It doesnt seem nearly as scripted as the G4 program, G4TV.com, and I find that to be a good thing. I suppose everyone is entitled to their opinions, however.

For whatever reason, whenever I type an apostreph (sp?) in "add comment" or "add reply", the "find" menu comes up at the bottom of my screen and doesnt allow me to continue writing. So, I have to write all my replys with no apostophes. Can anyone help me with this?

Someone already made the point but I've heard most of these stories already... a more apt title may be "[Last] Week in Review", or a change in content to something more fresh may be in order? 

I am still not sure where the MS part of all this is - except that "woot" bit by Laura.  Is that the point?  Subtle "yay MS" messages here and there?

I don't care what anyone else says, I'm loving this show.  No dead weight guy in the middle either like back at G4, just Tina and Laura acting as wild and crazy as they want.  I love having Laura and Tina back in my life everyday and so should you, or they will force you...... with violence!

This is a great conversation to have as we built 10 for you!  There are a few guiding principles we have for 10.

First, we aspire to create a place for those enthusiastic people out there that want to use technology to change the world. 

Second, we want to try and bring a voice to the underdog through our content.  With 10 we want to give an audience to folks doing interesting things who don't have one already. 

Finally, we want to create content on 10 that excites and inspires you and has you returning again the next day wondering what will be next on 10.

In doing this we're going to try experiment with a number of styles and formats and look to your feedback to see what you all like best refining the concept in real time.  Spooky eh?

We're committed to making 10 amazing, but can only do it with your help.

    You know I actually enjoy that a show is hosted by people who are enthusiastic about what they are doing. I really do feel that this site has some good content so far, personally the only story they have done that I had previous knowledge of was the Leeroy one and most who play WoW know about that
    I personally dont read over many news sites or have time to watch much tv between work and college so its nice to get some cool and interesting tidbits wrapped up in a <del>fantastic</del> <del>magical</del> fantastical way.
    I think we will see the crew start to get into a good groove as the show continues. The only change I would make would be to have some shows where the girls are standing but also maybe have a desk or chairs for viewer email type shows. Wow this was longer then expected. Thanks to the two of you (if I am lucky) who actually read all of this.

what do i like to see on 10? Well, something like the monday show about KEXP, and more precisely the deepness of the show. I think that internet is filled to the brim with sites that contains links on "emerging" tecnologies, very few stops a minute and help people understand a little "how" tecnologies are used to make things.

This is why i loved the monday show, and this is what i like to see on 10.

Well there's another thing: i don't know how much non-english speaking people is watching this, but for me (as an italian) listening Laura and Tina at this "word per minute" rate is... hard. It worths the time... but it's hard .

I was very sorry to hear that G4 cancelled another excellent show with lots of life and fun, but finding the ladies on this site has brought back what I missed the most. You can’t make everyone happy and it would be mistake to try. Tina and Laura have a great chemistry that translates into a lot of excitement, and a feeling that they are having fun and therefore it makes it enjoyable to watch whatever they are talking about. I am look forward to seeing what every new clip has to offer. Don’t change anything – you have something unique that is like catching lightning in a bottle. That’s just my opinion, but I wanted to voice my support. Thanks to everyone who makes this site possible!

This totally rocks. Finally someone is looking out for us Pocket PC users that are into WMP.  The only thing I notice is audio is off sync a bit.   Any help would be great.

BTW, you may consider adding a download Icon for PocketPC/Smartphone. Everyone may not realize it's the wmv format, and it would be nice for show support for the growing smartphone platform, as they're now starting to appear in North America.

Well, so far, I'm NOT (really) disappointed.

As we all know...this is a new program and it's the first week, so expect things to be kind of "awkward." To be fair, wait until Friday to give a "final" opinion on the whole show.
 
Or at least, give them another week.They are obviously trying/testing all sorts of content and want to see what feedback we (the viewer) give them, positive or negative..If you don't like what you see, give specifics/reasons, instead of just saying "the show sucks."  

Help the producers make the program you want to see, instead of just saying it "sucks." 

They will listen to us, but we have to give them criticism in a manner that is appropriate. One word, or two word "reviews" doesn't help that much.

Without question, the best part of the show are the hosts, Tina and Laura. They are perfect together. And not just because of their looks, but more importantly, their likeable personality. I’ve always enjoyed hearing what they have to say.

However, it's great to see them add some spunk, by commenting about the news stories, as well as adding non-scripted elements.

Finally, I'd like to say that I agree more emphasis on information about the technology being used, would be nice, as well as getting to know the people and how the technology is used.

Getting down into the specs and details, etc. might be too much, but learning about what exactly the kind of technology (software, wires, hardware, etc) would be interesting.

Well, I know I registered to the G4 forums pretty late in life the of "G4tv.com" and I kicked myself for waiting too long...but, when G4tv.com ended...I left the boards.

I knew that wasn't the last time we'd see you two, and I must say that I'm really excited about this new show. Overall, I've been impressed with it.

As I mentioned in an earlier comment, with any new show, expect there to be some rough spots. With feedback from the viewers, I'm sure the content will "evolve" and deliver exactly what they want/expect.

I still hating for the video to load in firefox and Quicktime. It is annoying and inconvenient. Fix it! Let it stream like Windows Media Player and IE!

We've been working on a fix for these and the Today in Tech episode to your left is now a streaming the MP4.

Are you still encountering issues?

We'll definitely continue to have more episodes like the KEXP opening show.  One thing though is that not all segments will have a Microsoft product slant. 

The goal is to highlight more what people are doing with technology as opposed to the products that they've used.

Where does the health blog fit it in?

The goal of ten is not focus on products specifically, but on scenarios and interest areas.  For example Health, Education, Design, Music, Games, Film and others.  We hope for the Health blog to grow into a place for people interested in helping make the world a better place by applying technology to health.

2) Will more blogs appear over time?

Yes!  Soon there will be an education blog then a design blog.  Think of them as group blogs authored by people both inside and outside of Microsoft.  What kind of blog would you like to see?

3) What will you do with the gamterag info?

Right now (there have been some service disruptions) it allows you to use it as an avatar and show your recent gaming history on the XBox 360.  If enough people use it maybe we can create a ranking system specific to the tenors.

Regarding formats support, yes we'll consider adding a download icon for encodings friendly to the Pocket PC/Smartphone.

nterestingly if you visit the on a PocketPC / Smartphone the Windows Media streaming server will send you down a version of the video encoded at a 56k bitrate which is fairly device friendly.

I use AOL.

I enjoyed Tina and Laura's G4TV.com show because it was entertaining and fun, but most of all because there were intelligent interviews, commentary, and criticism also along for the ride.  I hope we still get to see that from them here. I am forced to endure brutally boring office meetings with presenters that make me want to slit my wrists.  I am sure you wanted to throw yourself out of the window a couple of times during an engineering lecture or two.  Would anyone watch the oscars, for instance, if a comedian didn't MC the event?  Interestingly your comment 100 % focuses on the style of the segments and not on the content.  Do you feel that the post MTV presentation interferes with the content or do you feel that there wasn't any meaningful content to comment on.

On the other hand I have confidence that Tina and Laura can pull this off, based on what they did on G4 and gaming criticism.  That having been said, I look forward to seeing longer interviews and greater expansion on the topics covered.  If we look an the wine glass story as an example, in addition to a 'check this out' approach it would be nice to see on10 comment on the products importance (or lack of importance) to society, along with some speculation of some other applications of the tech.  As I have said, I think we will see this to come, particularly as they continue to abondon television paradigms and develop new ones.

People enjoy building a profile within a community like on10.net, but would prefer to keep their superhero identities a secret from everyone else! I suspect the 10Team elected for a more bulletin board-esque approach for this reason.
