I wonder if it was intended to have the port fall back on 1337. That's so Elite... In the Cloud!
@SyntaxC4 I can't take credit for the joke.
That's the port you'll find in the code on http://nodejs.org.
Express isn't an MVC, it's really just a simple web framework. There's no models, views (well, maybe...), or controllers.
@Andrew: You're right and what I see is that Express is mostly for creating controllers (with different middlewares) and for view you have to use modules like Jade (I think it's included in Express already), and for models it could be Mongoose (for MongoDB schemas). But nobody is forcing us to keep MVC pattern.
"Seek MVC patterns in NodeJS web frameworks, do not."
Cool! What Snap-ins are needed for Powershell or what is the easiest way to install them?
Why don't you guys get a real video host? It's really annoying that this video stops for buffering every second so I put it on pause for 20min expecting it to finish loading the video but no, a few seconds of play and it's back to buffering every second and it's not my connection either! VERY ANNOYING!!! Fix please?
I didn't notice the download options above. I left clicked instead of saving it and it played just fine with no buffering for anyone else having this issue.
use internet download manager(IDE)software to download this video
How did you get a cmdlet for Sublime Text? I have searched the web but found no answer.
Microsoft will (finally) begin eating their own dog food now that the company has launched Azure Media Services
He didn't. He just opened Sublime Text. The Node power shell must do something to ensure it's in his path.
update this video with webmatrix. Webmatrix v2 support node.js
Anders, I have a quick blog post explaining how I open Sublime with the current directory already added here: http://www.gotsomething.com/2012/05/quickly-open-sublime-with-current-directory-already-added/
Hope that helps you!
cheers,
Marc.
