The Nokia Lumia 900, looks very tempting

Like the look of that big screen on the Titan...

  • I tested out a Lumia 800 and it's such amazingly good quality. With the bigger screen the Lumia 900 should feel amazing especially since it doesn't have the pentile display which I find a bit blurry on the 800.

It's too bad the 4G LTE stuff means nothing to me because it's not available anywhere even close to me (maybe not even in the entire province). Even worse is that the Lumia 900, the first phone I might actually consider buying, is a Rogers exclusive in Canada and they don't even have 3G coverage in most of the places I might find a mobile phone handy.

  • Can't agree more dentaku; would love the Lumia 900, but Rogers is the worst carrier you can go with in Saskatchewan so the phone would pretty much be useless Sad

Also, I remember hearing that the 900 would have a front facing camera, but that wasn't discussed at all in this video.  Are there any apps yet that make use of it?

Yes, The Lumia 900 DOES have a front facing camera and SKYPE is available for WP7.5.

WP7 is really good platform with good apps and games.
There are many fantastic games. One of them is Memorina.
One of the best games I have ever played.

Good Phone for a great Price. Good to see that HTC is being promoted alomgside Nokia, as HTC has been a loyal MS Phone supporter for some time.

We just need a Windows Phone OS Reboot to deliver a real a real WOW factor for consumers to show real interest, and increased Marketting outside US. (Here in the UK, there is hardly any promotion of Windows Phones.) Apple adverts are shown 2 to 3 times each evening. Still a failed platform until we see some real change to OS.

Hopefully Windows Phone 8(Apollo), will deliver Nokias 41M Pixel camera, > 1000 pixel screen resolutions, proper Enterprise encryption and a revised mobile MS Office that actually useable on phones. (Mobile Offcie on WP7.5 is a real dissapointment) Integrated Skype and NFC. Deliver these quickly and perhaps Windows Phones may spark some interest in consumers and Enterprise user base.

I tested Skype with the front facing camera on the Lumia 900 and I can confirm it works fine. The quality of the pic wasn't great but I can't say what it was (network, skype or cam). The client on the other side was a MacBook Air.

  • Nice phone with great screen.

  • Yeah, quality bit of kit, no doubt.

If the windows phones are so great then why did the Technical Evangelist in Microsoft's Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) Division boast about having an IPhone during his session into the fundamentals of creating a Windows Phone 7 at the .Net user event???
