You can do it now with new MSN Web Messenger. It differs from the "traditional" Windows Live Messenger since it doesn't have to be installed on the computer you are going to use for your chatting. All you need is a computer with an Internet connection and then just type http://webmessenger.msn.com in your web browser (no later versions than Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0, Netscape 7.1 or Mozilla 1.6).
