マイクロソフト社内では、出荷前の製品を自社導入し、自らベータテストを行うことを「ドッグフードを食べる（Eating your own dogfood）」と呼んでいます。
現在、マイクロソフト社内では、Windows Vistaや2007 Office systemといった出荷前の製品を自社導入しております。
Dogfoodは、ソフトウェア製品だけではなく、マウスやキーボードといったマイクロソフト製ハードウェアデバイス（ならびにドライバソフトウェア IntelliPoint / IntelliType Pro)に対しても行われます。

このビデオでは、Windows Vista対応をするマイクロソフト製のマウス・キーボード製品の社内テスターへの配布の直前の様子から配布をしている様子までを約５分のビデオにまとめてみました。
