Microsoft SQL Azure ist ein hochverfügbarer und skalierbarer Cloud-Datenbankdienst, der auf SQL Server-Technologien basiert. Mit SQL Azure müssen Entwickler keine Software installieren, einrichten, patchen oder verwalten. Die hohe Verfügbarkeit und Fehlertoleranz ist integriert, und es ist keine physische Verwaltung erforderlich. Darüber hinaus können Entwickler SQL Azure dank des vertrauten T-SQL-basierten relationalen Modells und der gleichen leistungsstarken Entwicklungs- und Verwaltungstools, die auch für lokale Datenbanken verwendet werden, schnell produktiv nutzen. Zusätzlich zu Datenbankdiensten stehen die ergänzenden Dienste SQL Azure-Berichterstellung (verfügbar als CTP-Version) und SQL Azure-Datensynchronisierung (verfügbar als CTP-Version) zur Verfügung. In diesem Webcast geben wir eine Einführung in SQL Azure und schauen uns die neuesten Features an.

Was ist eigentlich mit dem "Point In Time Restore" Feature passiert? Ich glaube das wurde letztes Jahr bei der TechEd gezeigt, seither hat man aber nichts mehr davon gehört. Bei Amazon gibt es das auch.
Edit: Es wurde bei der TechEd North America im Mai 2011 gezeigt...
