Eric from the Microsoft Surface Team just posted about another new application for the tabletop computer: a news reader. Released to partners and customers last week, the news reader application lets people browse news and videos from MSNBC.com using the 360 degree Surface interface. And while you’re at it, why not head over to the first Microsoft Surface Retailer and get a Surface computer for yourself? It comes with a custom wood enclosure that matches its very own Lazzara Yacht. Yep – no kidding – yacht buyers can get a Surface computer preinstalled on their boats starting in June 2009. I think personally, I’ll need to wait for a slightly less expensive version though.
