Donavon West of the Home Server Hacks blog has just released a brand-new add-in for Windows Home Server users called @WHSTweet. Using the Windows Home Server Technical Library, he created the add-in to monitor the health of your home server – specifically the “health status” which is those little messages that show up in the system tray when you turn on the setting “Display Network Health Notifications.” When the health of your server changes (the icon changes colors), the add-in will update Twitter with the information. Donavon recommends that you create a separate account just for your Windows Home Server so as not to confuse your followers with these automated messages.
For installation instructions including screenshots, check out this blog post. You can download the WHSTweet add-in here.
