Facebook launched a new application called Facebook Stories in celebration of the site reaching the 500 million user mark. These so-called “Facebook Stories” are user-submitted creations that detail how Facebook has brought people together, whether long-lost friends, family or even old flames finding new love. The stories have been plotted out on a map to provide locational context, and the map Facebook used comes from Bing.
Here, blue dots on the map show the location of these stories which can also be identified by theme (like “love,” “family,” reunions,” etc.)
It’s not too late to submit your story for inclusion, either. Facebook is still asking for submissions – details can be found via the Facebook blog here.
