Infinite Canvas is a side project from Microsoft Live Labs, but one which isn’t listed on the main Live Labs web site. The project, created by Ian Gilman, is a zoomable web comic creator/viewer, however it wasn’t made with Seadragon Ajax, but rather with JavaScript – even on the server side where he’s using AppJet. Infinite Canvas is still in alpha, but it’s publicly available so you can try it now. Just go to the project’s homepage, press the create button, and enter in some image URLs to get started. Or better yet, check out some of the comics already created from those listed on the Infite Canvas web site.

This is really cool, I have been planing on reading Scott Mccloud's book "Understanding Comics" for a while now, he hosts some of this type of comics on his own website. Sadly, when I try to view any of the featured comics on Infinite Canvas I get a blank screen, I got java installed and Java Script enabled in my browser, I am running IE8 Beta (the one in Windows 7 Beta). Any idea?
posted by Googleman81
