It’s Here! It’s Here! Windows Live Wave 3 Has Arrived

Today was one of those days where I woke up excited about technology. Why? Because today was the big unveiling of Windows Live Wave 3. If you’re unfamiliar, Wave 3 represents the next round of Windows Live applications. This update, available now from download.live.com, includes significant updates for your favorite Live apps. These updates come in the form of brand-new public betas of Messenger, Mail, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Writer, Toolbar, and Family Safety. Although Movie Maker is the only Live application which is new to the suite, I guarantee you that the other apps will feel new to you as well. Each one offers great new features and a redesigned look-and-feel with a lighter color scheme. To explore all the features of these releases in more detail, Brandon LeBlanc has an excellent in-depth review on the Windows Experience Blog. After you try the new betas, the Windows Live team wants to hear what you think. They’ve enabled comments on their blog so you can give feedback directly.

Better explain me - why there are 2 applications with the same functionality: Windows Photo Gallery and Windows Live Photo Gallery. Although I use both of them: one for all photos/pictures, another for pr0n )))

  • Windows Photo Gallery came with Vista PCs. It was the basis for the new, improved version, Windows Live Photo Gallery. However, downloading the beta doesn't overwrite the software on your Vista PC (the plain vanilla photo gallery)...although it should!
