Microsoft's official beta test site,
Microsoft Connect, lets you participate in the beta testing community by downloading and trying new software and services, while providing Microsoft with valuable feedback. There are many different ways to participate at Microsoft Connect - you can download software, take surveys, participate in newsgroups, and provide feedback about your experiences. After signing in with a Windows Live ID and registering as a Connect user, you can view connection resources and participate in programs. To apply to participate in a particular program, click "Apply" in the program table on the Available Connections page. Depending on how the program is run, you might be automatically approved or a connection administrator can approve your participation. You can also be invited to participate in a program by receiving an email that contains an Invitation ID. Technology enthusiast and early adopters can use Connect to get their hands on things like the OneCare beta, the Windows Live betas, Expression Studio, and the Home Server betas. Although applying to participate doesn't guarantee you will get invited to the beta, it certainly is the best place to start!
