RealVNC Launches New Enterprise Edition

RealVNC, makers of one of the more popular VNC applications, have just announced a new version of their Enterprise Edition software. VNC Enterprise Edition 4.4 is designed to make remote control even easier than before with the addition of several new features. With RealVNC’s scalable and robust Enterprise Edition, you are provided with tools for wide-scale deployment and management as well as support for numerous different operating systems, including Windows 94, 98, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, Mac OSX, Linux, Solaris, HPUX, AIX, Java, and WinCE. You can even remotely manage a PC via a mobile device.

The company offers three editions of RealVNC – a free edition with minimal features and two premium editions, Personal and Enterprise, which both offer many more features over the free one such as integrated file transfer, desktop scaling, 128-bit AES encryption and tamper-proofing, and 2048-bit RSA server authentication. The newest features to be added to the Enterprise edition are an integrated address book, chat, and HTTP proxy support.  

The cost of VNC Enterprise Edition starts at USD $50.00 for a single VNC Server licence, with discounted volume pricing kicking in at three copies. If you’re purchasing over 1,000 licenses, the cost drops down considerably to only a few dollars each.
