Microsoft recently introducing a new programming language meant to teach kids how to program:
Small Basic. The project aims to make programming fun by providing a small and easy-to-learn programming language in an environment that’s customize for kids, or any novice programmers looking to venture into the programming world. Small Basic is derived from the original BASIC programming language and is based on the .NET platform. The reason it’s “small” is because it only uses 15 keywords and minimal concepts so as to not be intimidating to those just starting out. You can check out the project over on
DevLabs site and you can also download a
Small Basic Introduction PDF.
