Xbox Halo 3 Console Announced

The
Xbox website has announced a new console that is certain to please the Halo fanboys (and girls!) out there. An Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition Console will be available in September 2007. The console features a special green and gold finish
on both the box and controller. The Halo console comes bundled with a Wireless Controller, 20GB Hard Drive, Headset, Play & Charge Kit, and an exclusive Halo 3 Gamer Pics and Halo 3 Theme. It's the perfect console to go along with the September 25th release
of the much-anticipated Halo 3. The game will sold separately, so you can choose the edition you would prefer: a $60 standard edition; a $70 for a limited edition that comes with a bonus making-of disc & art book; and a "Legendary" $130 limited edition that
comes packaged in a Spartan military helmet case.

I have to say I cannot see the appeal myself, it does nothing for me visually, although the one plus point is the gold disc tray which looks very bling, but does not look good against the contrast of the green. Oops another minus point. [LS]

Snazzy, but an overall waste of money without Halo packed in. It might have been awesome if it was an Elite, but I doubt anyone who already has a 360 is likely to invest in it.
It's almost as pointless as the Halo 3 Zune.

Yeah it's neat, for a Halo fan. I was surprised to hear it doesn't actually include Halo though. Still cool looking system though.
