uTodo is a small, lightweight, and portable version of Veetosoft’s more full-featuring GTD (“getting things done”) application called uOrganized. The application is basically a task list and organizer, but it’s more feature-rich than many of the basic “to do” list programs out there as it allows for tons more customization options. You can use uTodo to track projects, assign priorities, attach notes to tasks, and tag actions. Those tasks can also be added to your desktop in the form of sticky notes that are virtually pasted onto your screen. However, the best feature of this application is probably its ability to filter and group items automatically by their various attributes (like priority or status), something which can really help you focus on what you need to get done right away.
The uTodo program is pretty good little organizer, but the full-featured version called uOrganized is even better if you want to integrate your tasks with Microsoft Outlook or receive SMS and email notifications of your tasks. However, both of these apps are only worthy of serious GTD junkies as neither are available as freeware: uTodo is $19.95 and uOrganized is $34.95. Both include free updates for life, though. For more information on both apps, you can check out this video demo. For a free trial, you can download them from here.
(A full review of uTodo is also available on WebWorkerDaily.)
