Update: Major Nelson's posts about this say it is free and at least one on10 member downloaded it for free as well... so either I was too tired from coding last night and read it wrong or I ran into a momentary glitch.... I'll start pulling my foot out of my mouth now.
You can view the commercial online, if you can't wait to go home and download the 720p version.

I downloaded it okay last night off live for no price.
Maybe they charged for "silver" members instead of free for the "gold" members? But you're probably a gold member too...so maybe it was up for a price and they later changed it to free or the other way around.

Last night, both the 480p and 720p versions were free on XBL Marketplace. I'm not sure if they are still free, or not, but I hope they stay free.
I missed the MNF airing, because of work, but I think the commercial is awesome! Even though it's not from the game, that CGI animation (and even the sound) was fantastic! I especially liked the force-field part =) Can't wait for Halo 3. Master Chief is a pimp!

I checked it out and it's free. But the new Halo 3 theme is 150 so maybe that caused the confusion.
