		<title>Channel 9 - Taobao on IE8</title>
		<link></link>

<description>Launched in 2003, Taobao (www.taobao.com) is the largest Internet retail website in China with more than 75% of the Chinese-domestic online consumer market, serving nearly 100 million registered users and more than 1.5
 million sellers.
One year ago, at MIX08 in Las Vegas, they&#39;ve seen&amp;nbsp;a demo of the
IE8 new features&amp;nbsp;for the first time. It didn&#39;t take more than a few weeks to&amp;nbsp;prototype, design,&amp;nbsp;develop&amp;nbsp;and deploy the new Web Slices,&amp;nbsp;Accelerators and&amp;nbsp;Visual Search on their website. One year later those features are already something users can&#39;t live
 without.
Listen to the full story from Ying Sun, Product Manager of R&amp;amp;D Center of Taobao.com, interviewed by
Giorgio Sardo (Microsoft Corp) and Liwei Zhao (Microsoft DPE China).

If you are familiar with the&amp;nbsp;Chinese language,&amp;nbsp;check them out at&amp;nbsp;http://ie8.taobao.com!

If you want to build your own features, you can start from here:
