The long awaited update for 10 is almost ready. We're in the final march towards the launch of what we’re calling 10 - Version 1.0. There is a lot of stuff in this release so we thought we'd release some screenshots to give you a sneak peek.
10 Version 1.0 - Homepage![]()
10 Version 1.0 - Entry View
So what's in it?
Shiny new logo, email subscriptions to threads (finally), homepage with an embedded media player (that works) and a much cleaner / easier to use experience. We didn't show the forums in the screenshots but yes we're finally bringing them online in this release as well. They will have an experience very similar to the items shown in the entry view screenshot.
If you look closely you'll notice that our new logo was created by Maxwell. Maxwell is the winner of our custom PC logo contest. Thanks Maxwell!
Note there is no big launch party planned for this design refresh launch (like the other folks). We are thinking about heading over to Jeff's house for some beer and paper plate pizza and then will be hard at work getting this code working with 10's sister site Channel 9.
We can't wait to get this out the door!

I love the new layout. Its much more sleaker and you can see all the information you need in one place and organized very well. I like the three column layout especially.
I do think, howerver, that there's alot of white though. Not enough color.
Well, it's certainly cleaner and much more user friendly. While I like the new look, I'm kinda undecided about the logo. I happen to like the current logo as is, but that's just me. Max certainly deserves the custom PC; bear in mind ,however, that you have given me that much less incentive to return to PCs. Guess I'll be sticking with my trustworthy Macs for a while still.
congrads maxwell.
what about 2nd and 3rd prizes? what happened to those?
Man, I slaved for weeks trying to create an entry for that awesome gaming computer and you go and change the logo?!
I'm just kidding, I'm only creative with words, not pictures. I like the new logo.
If only i knew 7 entrys were allowed.
descriptions wernt needed.
insults and negativity is rewarded twords the community is rewarded.
and judges not even looking at entrys. (1view for final 6 just proves descriptions wernt needed.)
oh well.
Hey!...Adam and I never replied to my original post in that entry. FAKE! FAKE! How dare you impersonate me. Just kidding.
Glad to see I provide some useful feedback, even if it really isn't from me.
I do like the three column look as well, plus the category breakdown is a nice feature to have! It appears to be very intuitive and should work quite nicely - I can't wait to check it out once it is launched. The new logo looks good as well...something new and different!
We really do appreciate all of the entries. I'm just sorry that everyone could not win.

lol i just feel sorry for the guy who created the big 10 logo from cardboard
Thanks mixqt2000. That huge cardboard 10 took me a couple days to plan gather materials and 2 weeks of hard work building! It got me two shirts from Laura because she liked it so much, thanks again Laura. I really, REALLY appreciated that, I wear them all the time as you can tell from my myspace photo. Atleast with those I have something to show for it now. It looks fantastic sitting in the garage.
I send my sincerest congratulations to Maxwell for winning but I have to respectfully disagree with the final decision.
I know I've already posted this earlier but it was buried down the reply chain and I wanted to make sure everyone saw this, thank you. Thanks mixqt2000 for the recognition. I send my sincerest congratulations to Maxwell for winning but I have to respectfully disagree with the final decision. I can understanding selecting that logo it looks great and will represent on10.net well but, to compare what might have taken 30 minutes or so to make compared to weeks of work to try and help spread the word about this very site. Just seems wrong to me. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
new layout is tight & clean.... OH and is that a new set bg? nice... you've done me proud.... you've done me proud. 01110010 01101111 01100011 01101011 00100000 01101111 01101110 00100001
damn... i have a lot of catching up to do... working 24 hour shifts makes it difficult to keep up... i wanna vacation
categorys were useless aswell.
why ask people to build 2 things if the winner gets the pc and built nothing...
I concur. But complaining is futile and pointless, time to move on.
Yeah i like this new layout, very fresh, new and lightweight. Can't wait to see it finally online
.
i wish i had submited sooner. damn you vacation in florida. damn you.
