How do I download the videos?
- To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”
Why should I download videos from Channel9?
- It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
- You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
- If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!
Which version should I choose?
- If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
- If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
- If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
- If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.
Right click “Save as…”
- Mid Quality WMV (Lo-band, Mobile)
- WMV (WMV Video)
Scoble talks more about the contest in this video. Check out our special PDC section.
But the big question is... Just who is this mystery person behind the camera?

For folks who do not have a blog, there are a few options.
1. They can always enter the Shareware Coding Contest
2. Create a blog just for the contest using one of the many free services like MSN Spaces, Blogger.com or TypePad.
3. Reply to Blog'n my way to PDC post with your essay.
Sorry, we didn't mean to leave people out.
what about this:
look at the number of posts, find the top say 20?
then in that see who adds the most to the community
good advice, code, news, links that kind of stuff
then ask the comunity in a poll:
if you had to pick on of these 5 which would you send to PDC?
(but don't vote for your self)
then pick one and send him/her.
But I won't tell.
Edit: Charles tells me that I was wrong
Nope. Guess again. Perhaps she will reveal herself in time...
C
But that's probably more wishful thinking than anything else...
Guess again :->
1.False
2.True
hardy: Nope.
C
Sweet... Anyone we know?
She's a great addition to the team and should help shape the 06 vision of Year of the Niner.
C
Forgive my other post in the announcements area, I didn't realize this included accomodation and airfare... Which definitely means I'm interested.
I'm thinking of witty and useful things to say as we speak... Or at least trying to
Nope.. Guess again :-> Maybe the mystery person will blog about it soon or pop into this post.
It's in there.
Question: if I occasionally do WFH's developing courseware (time management stuff), am I excluded from this?
Hopefully not, as I just wrote a fantastic entry (if I do say so myself)
Bummer. I'd like to be able to go to the PDC (I was at the first PDC)
Nice detective work Maurits! I was literally just finishing up a post on my blog regarding joining the team, when Jeff IM'd me that someone had figured it out.
If you don't know me, all I can say is I'm an fierce advocate for our customers and our community, and I couldn't think of a better place to put all of my energy than into Channel 9.
It's an honor to be coming aboard.
B.
Ah, so Maurits guessed who it was. It's rather strange to see Scoble on the business end of the camera.
Guess I should read more blogs, eh? Heck, I don't even read Scoble's blog.
C
It isn't anything againest you, I'm just so shocked and amazed how quickly this has been put up, like... Wow. I go to sleep everything's normal. I wake up 10 hours later and turn on the computer and I find this... The revealing of one new 9Teamer and a whole new competition or two... How long will this contest last? Wow.... Go Channel9
It's times like these, you need to say "heh".
Loadsgood.
PS - heh.
Hey I wouldn't expect any less from you guys! Thanks for the warm welcome.
I'll be spending the next three weeks living and breathing the forums, so that by the time I officially start I'll hopefully know who is most likely to pitch me off the side of a moving boat.
b.
1) am I allowed to double my chances and participate in BOTH contests ?
2) it looks like you will mainly judge the blog "essay" by how much contribution to the community it promises. Is that so ?
New?
Her profile says she joined on "Thursday, Apr 1, 2004". BTW, when did this site open up to the public?
Oh and if you are wondering what type of niner I'll be, check this link out: Flame Warriors by Mike Reed
And to not completely highjack this thread, how many folks think they might try the "Blog you way to PDC" contest?
And to answer an earlier question, I don't believe there is any reason why you couldn't enter both, but I'll check with the team and let you know for sure.
b.
Hi Bonk!
Here are the official answers for your questions:
1. Yes you may enter both contests.
2. Not necessarily, we will also be judging entries on things like writing style and creativity.
Let us know if you have any more questions.

PS_ Bonk was one of my favorite Turbo Grafx games - believe it or not I still have the portable TG player so I can still play.
Great - I play bonk's adventure on my pc with an emulator but I am thinking of re-buying a Turbo Grafix at ebay. I find all those old consoles very sexy and much more attractive than (*duck*) xbox-360 and alike.
I am thinking of doing a movie as part of my blog-my-way-to-the-pdc-article. Is that within the rule boundaries ?
