Here's the description Rory wrote for this piece:
Jeff Sandquist was there at the beginning. He has been behind the scenes at Channel 9 for years. He was part of the initial crew and has had a tremendous impact on the development of the site ever since. Oddly, despite his core involvement, Jeff has never before done a Channel 9 interview. Here, we get to talk to him just after he's come back from taking several months off, and he's in a very, very good mood

We've had some logistical issues in the past getting these out. I have high hopes that problem is now fixed.
Nice to have Jeff back on C9.
I just got back from a two week break in South West Kerry, Eire.......where I once lived on a 15 year sabbatical.
Yes, we do!
If you guys ship to Europe, I'm guessing you could ship to Toronto
Btw great interview, defiantly captures the true essence of your team.
I watch channel 9 almost everyday after or during lunch (while I'm at the office) and this was a very kewl change in perspective.
Even a little message for the Little Guru in this one.
where are you in toronto. i have quite a few and am in the toronto beaches area.
Larry showed me a few pictures of Jeff's room before he saw it
I doubt Jeff is much older than me but he started skating at a younger age so he remembers some of the old original pro skaters and being from West Coast doesn't hurt either.
I started a few years later when Natas Kaupas was already famous and Mike V was just becoming famous. It's weird how Canadian skaters have gotten big lately because back in my time there was only Colin McKay and I remember when he was 14 years old.
It's weird how so many people know the name Peralta but don't know who the guy is. I guess it doesn't hurt that Tony Hawk was involved with Powell-Peralta and that he's a huge celebrity now.
By the way... Channel 10 is great and I've been visiting it more lately.
People need to see what others are doing with regular PCs. It doesn't have to be just about Microsoft products but if it has to do with computers I like when it shows that people can do creative things with just regular every days Windows machines.
Ok, you opened up the old school skating conersation, watch out.
Here are some of my favorite pics:
Teamwork with Skating (that's my little girl getting pulled up the ramp) and some pictures of me taken in Kamloops, B.C. when I was Seven.
Agreed, I want to gear it more to a http://LifeHacker.com editorial style. We welcome all sorts of story ideas.
Yeah LifeHacker style is cool
You got it wrong. We are all sincerely Little Guru Fan's here on my team.
Thank you so much for all you have done for 9 and now 8.
-Jeff
Quite sure he says: littleguru AND lloyd_humph(cant remember how you spell your name)
Other than that (which I probably didn't understand right) I liked the interview a lot. Sad that Rory is leaving - he knows how to do interviews very well...
Great questions and great answers from Jeff. The thing about work-life-balance is really hard and as Rory says: everybody needs a time off. We are all happy that Jeff enjoyed his vacation and that he is back now
I guess now it's better to not make the work-life-balance get back into how it was before the break: means MORE vacations!
You don't need to tell me that you are fans of mine - hehe... I just got it wrong... I didn't understand well what Rory was saying after mentioning my name - that was the problem
GREAT to have you back jeff - and you look really great without glasses!
Yeah, it was hard for me to understand what Rory said afterwards...
Edit: I re-watched and it is really "lloyd humph". He's a cool dude!
I enjoyed the most the Major Nelson videos. I hope we got some of them also in the future! They are cool and it's cool to see him play some stuff and speaking about the game. Perhaps he can share more tricks or so... I don't know how much he is actually in the games he plays, but it would be cool. He's cool.
10 is fine
i just always would have prefered:

They took away up!
Love it. Its definitely my motto now. Being on a break reminded me that the time we have here is short.
Anyone watch the Randy Pausch lecture?
I happened to see it and it really was an eye opening video, it puts in perspective what many silly things we worry about that don't even matter. The video is quite a motivator.
Cool vid.
Welcome back Jeff. Good to see that you are good again.
About the sabatical, do you still get paid? How long did you have to be an employee before you get say, a month off? I once worked for a startup when people started jumping ship, they gave us four weeks vacation as an incentive to stay, but we had so much work, they wound up buying it back! I'm off to watch the Randy Pausch leture now.
