Kirk Evans talks with Motus Digital. Motus is a motion capture studio in Plano, Texas.  We get to see just how motion capture animations are created and learn about the technology behind motion capture.  Something that the guys from Motus reiterated several times... they are successful because they run the 64 bit Windows platform, giving them the performance that they need for high-end graphics processing in real time.

This video is part 1, which focuses on the cameras and software in the studio.  Part 2 focuses on turning the motion capture data from the cameras into real-time images.
