Any idea if and when this will be available in moonlight on linux?
Cheers,
Marcel
I don't, I'm afraid - the Moonlight project is one that's run by Novell rather than by Microsoft although it is done in collaboration.
The Moonlight site has 2.0 in a pre-alpha stage and there's nothing on the public roadmap up there yet about 3.0 which is fair given that 2.0 is in progress. My guess is that the roadmap will get updated for 3.0 later in the year?
Thanks,
Mike.
go silverlight!
Maybe it's not the suitable place to add this comments but it is user input channel 9 is listening .So mic support and sound rec is really needed. I am watching all the cool videos and getting the decision to start a new project to find out that silverlight doesn't support mic in or audio rec. I 'll have to go with flash and that is pretty dissapointing.
Also In Silverlight beta 3 documentation in msdn the audio category doesn;'t work also it gives me a message that my local english british isn't supported and it gives me all the supported locales listed . i am pressing english united states and nothing happens.
I am waiting news in future relleases of silverlight for adding mic and audio rec support
thank you for listening us
Hi intelman,
On the adoption front - check out the figures in ScottGu's presentation from MIX09 - http://videos.visitmix.com/MIX09/KEY01 - Silverlight 2 is still pretty new but the figures are looking very strong to me.
On the 64-bit front - take your point. If it's of any help then Adam's blog post here - http://adamkinney.com/blog/323/default.aspx - can help work around this by running the 32-bit sidebar.
Mike.
thanks
