Since The New York Times has just recently released a set of open news content APIs (NY Times APIs) and accompanying Silverlight kit to the developer community at large we wanted the full story behind the project. So last week while in New York, Eric Hoffman, my team's Platform Strategy Advisor, sat down with Derek Gottfrid, Senior Software Architect and Nick Thuesen, Senior Software Engineer to discuss the genesis of this project. Find out why they feel these open news content APIs are going allow developers to be a more integral part of the news community and how easy it is get starting using these APIs via the New York Times Silverlight Kit.
